One of Canberra's most prominent fine dining restaurants has gone up in smoke.
A blaze tore through the main building of Pialligo Estate's restaurant on Thursday afternoon.
Fire and rescue crews, aided by aerial water bombers, worked to wet down the outside of the building as it was engulfed in flames.
Its roof collapsed on Thursday evening and the building was completely destroyed.
The cause of the fire remains unknown but investigators do not believe there are suspicious circumstances.
The estate said it was devastated by the fire, with its farmhouse to remain closed until further notice.
"Fortunately all staff and patrons were evacuated safely and no one has been hurt," it posted to Facebook.
"We will be in contact with all of our clients and bookings as soon as we can, and will keep you all updated as we know more."
