It makes Gladys Berejiklian the state's first elected female leader.
Other key results include the apparent success of the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers Party in key regional seats, and the likely return to politics of divisive commentator and former Labor Leader, Mark Latham. Now on One Nation's team, he's expected to take a seat in the Upper House.
