About 100 residents had to be evacuated from their homes in the middle of the night when a factory containing surfboards caught fire on Sydney's Northern Beaches.
The factory in Collaroy caught fire about 8pm on Thursday and it took fire services three hours to put it out. Residents of nearby houses, units, and businesses were evacuated as a precaution. No one was injured.
A number of surfboards inside the factory were destroyed by the fire, with damage estimated at $250,000. The fire is not being treated as suspicious.
